Turning 21

48. Celebration

48. Celebration

It’s not every day that your youngest turns 21 and invites you to go to the local pub at the stroke of midnight, so you can share a little birthday cheer. Note that the friendly staff taped a birthday candle to her glass. They presented her drink while singing “Happy Birthday!” A class act.

They’ve actually watched her grow up. The place serves a great burger in addition to the typical stuff. I can remember one night when she was just a kid, one of the waiters popped her up on top of the bar, and she did the dance motions to the hit song of the times –YMCA. Kind of like family.
