219. Out West

219. Out West

How much more “out west” can you get than tumbleweed blowing across your trail?

Seen in southern Arizona on the road to Chirachahua National Monument.

Yes, it is definitely an out west sighting. We have plenty in our little town. One day I went past a house across the street from a proposed school/park land. The tumbleweeds had caught in the yard of the L-shaped house, and filled up the entire porch and blocked the front door! Wish I had a camera…didn’t even have a camera/phone at that time. I think there must have been a weekend phone call to the park department, because they were gone and the field plowed when I next went by.

I’d break into a good western song (but I’d scar everyone away even on the internet).
