Hummer on the Move

275. Sense of Motion

275. Sense of Motion

I know this little hummingbird has wings and that hummingbirds are quick, but how can he move so quickly that his wings are barely visible?

I’ve been traveling and photographing the Southwest (US) so I have a few days to catch up. Most of the places I camped had no cell or internet service. I’m trying to imagine my life if I lived where there was no internet or cell phones. Sure would be different!

I envy you this shot as these birds are not found in Australia, and it is so dainty and beautiful

Sure would be a slower life! sometimes that sounds very appealing! What a perfect picture – love how fast their wings go – this is a fabulous shot!!

We have hummers in our garden. I finally got a camera fast enough to catch them on the feeder. But the camera isn’t fast enough to catch one in stop-motion! Always the blur of the wings…unless one is sitting still supping the sugarwater or hanging onto a branch. Then it seems like the color isn’t as bright as when they are in motion. Why is that?

Stunning shot! I can’t imagine no internet…nope, not long term anyways! Slow-paced life with internet. I’m in. lol

I love how the wings look transparent. It’s a great capture, Bo!

Oh my! I lust love the transparency of the wings, the way they are clearly moving rapidly, but we can still see a hint of detail.

DH and I have camped in the Southwest; I hope you’re enjoying it as much as we have.

I love the motion you’ve captured.
