132. Growing

111. From Ground Level

I’ll admit, this crocus is barely out of the ground, but it is the first flower I’ve seen this season. And yes, I did have to sprawl on the ground to get this shot. Definitely a ground level photograph.

Very nice. I have never seen it like this. Was this in your backyard? I think it would make a nice time-lapse subject until the full flower is out.

What a gorgeous shot of this little guy popping out – love the clarity of the flower and the slightly blurred background! The green and yellow just jump out at you! Nice take!

I’m glad you sprawled on the ground – it’s a fantastic view of this flower just peeping out. The sunlight on the shoot is terrific.

What we do for a fantastic shot!! Glad you were willing to sprawl on the ground or we would not be viewing this terrific photo. I’ve never seen this kind of thing happening before, likely because I was not sprawled on the ground!! 😀 The colors and lighting are perfect as is the composition. Swell work!

This may seem like an odd choice, but the best word I could come up with is “intimate.”

Amazing photo. There is indeed something special when it starts to sprout.

Who knew that a crocus looks like this when it is emerging? As Bobbie said, its kind of an intimate look at the flower…

Beautiful shot and kudos for getting down on the ground to get it!

I love this and have certainly never been so close to a crocus. I’m stealing this idea for next spring but will plant them in pots ;-0

Neat shot. I like the composition, with the second flower on the left edge and the central flower angled, and the depth of field.
