Full Moon

43. Celestial Bodies

The full moon was sinking over my neighbor’s home just as the sun was beginning to lighten the eastern sky. The morning was frigid. The temperature hovered just a few degrees above zero and the wind was brisk.  High, wispy clouds, with lots of icy crystals gave the moon a hazy effect.

I tried to take the shot from indoors, but finally gave up and set the tripod up on my front porch. Since I was attired in pajamas and a parka, I’m hoping the neighbors weren’t peeping!

What could have been a great shot is spoiled, as I can’t get the image of you in your fluffy Jamies and a parja shivering just to score an impossible shot. The laughter spoils my vision.

Spooky & eerie. I expect to see a werewolf creeping up behind you.:)

It is an eerie shot! Good for you for persisting in your cold pursuit of the shot.

Very nice – the color of that sky is super. Like Ron, I’m getting a giggle out of the image of you dashing out in your jammies to set up the tripod and take the shot.

Very nice shot but I think you should have set the timer on your camera, grabbed a cup of coffee and made it back to your favorite chair before the timer went off!!

I really like the soft focus on this. It’s so moody.

Great colors and composition. You can almost feel the cold.
