Yellow Deere

364. Work

There’s plenty of construction projects moving forward on the campus of the Uniersity of Wisconsin at Madison. They work all day, in cold, in snow. Can’t stop building simply because the weather is inclement. If we did, we’d have a 6 month construction season.

This huge John Deere piece of equipment makes a bit of a frame for the Memorial Union.

Wonderful composition here – love how the construction equipment frames the building!

Nice juxtaposition between the “now” and the “planned to be.”

I like the way this frames the building. Nice lines make the eye flow easily into the frame.

Lucky Silverback didn’t post this cause then it would have been a “Deere John” posting and they are the worse.

I’m used to John Deere being ‘green’ and yellow. The unusual frame worked. I like using tree branches, etc., to focus on the main subject. Looks like you do, too.

I love the contrast between the bright solid nature of the construction equipment with the more subtle color and apparent delicacy of the finished product: sort of a visual oxymoron.
