Weeds in Winter

98. Fence

98. Fence

We’ve had a bit of a melt, today it’s been drizzly. Only three or so inches of snow are left on the ground. We’ve had nearly sixty inches of snow this winter, a far cry from the record 101 inches we had last year. It won’t be too long before the ground will be mucky and muddy. And then the green will begin to pop up. I can hardly wait. I am tired of white.

    Bo –
Great shot. I love the light differences between the snow and the fence and it just brings out the “Weeds” so nicely.

The weeds and the fence just pop out at you in that snow white snow! Nice image!

I completely hear you! We had some warm weather this week we’ve nowhere near 60 inches but man sure feels like it! Hopefully spring is around the corner!

We got no white. So I have to live vicariously through images like this. Which make me wish even harder for snow. Nice shot.

I like the softness of the weeds against the harshness of the snowy landscape.

I really like this shot – the color contrast between the stark white and the warm browns is appealing.

I didn’t realize it was ‘fence’ until I read it. It’s overwhelmed by the beauty of the wood and weeds and snow! Love it!

Sometimes the simplest of things make the most statement. Sorta like less is more. I really like the simplicity of this shot. It is amongst one of my “Ooooh I like” choices. Nice play of the textures against the snow backdrop.

This is my first time to your site, so scrolling down through your posts, I can see you have an eye for photography. Keep making those shots and we’ll keep being jealous of them! lol

Thanks for coming to my site and commenting.

I now have a second page – named very uniquely: http://ionassecondpage.blogspot.com lol I started adding some of the photos I took during the recent ice storm and then came down with the flu. Today is my first day up. Lost a day in there somewhere too. My DH said I slept for one whole day. Go figure.
